Hello,
I wanted to share some pics and history of my German AC45 G43 d block rifle.
This is a very late war mfg. rifle Late March/Early April 1945 mfg.
Walther was notorious for using whatever parts were leftover during this time period.
So to see a 1945 mfg G43 rifle is rare. The receiver is an early variant G43 Cosmetically machined receiver used on earlier production 1944 G43 rifles mfg. by Walther and BCD.
This receiver was either a part that was left over from earlier production or possibly an earlier rejected receiver that was used later in 1945 when parts shortages affected production at the Walther plants.
Another thing to note is that the bolt group including the bolt carrier does not have any serial numbers, but it does have all of the waffenampts and Walther 359 codes. This bolt group is most likely Armourer Replacement Parts kit that was used by Walther on late war (predominantly in d block and later rifles).
These late war Walther variants were finished in a mix of light phosphate, blue and even some parts left in the white (no finish on the metal), and the barrel on late war Walter mfg. variants seem to have a thicker barrel vs. early variants where barrels had a distinct taper and step down before the front sight post.
There is allot of great history with these rifles, and if you can get one into your collection, it is well worth it! They are beautiful rifles, even with their flaws!
Enjoy,

(thought you had that K43 qve moniker while that rifle was still owned by Leon?)
