I accept the punctuation correction as I believe that I am never too old to improve my writing skills (I'm 72) and I sill enjoy learning new things.

I will gladly own the term of grammar Nazi if that makes M76 happy. I guess it's nice to be easily pleased. Nevertheless, I stand by my statement that terms like "shotty," "Winny," et al sound retarded.

I can't help but find that writing something out like Winchester, shotgun, or California, isn't really all that hard and has the added benefit of keeping my typing skills sharp.

And, because this is actually a gun forum rather than a grammar or slang correction forum, here is a picture of a couple of Winchester shotguns:

I did not buy it, but I did the next best thing. I talked my neighbor in buying it so that I could play with it.

I've got it all apart in my gun room now and giving it a thorough cleaning. It is unbelievably filthy inside, but I think it's going to clean up pretty nice.

Probably best you didn't buy it, or the Winchesters in the safe would have taken it out back and roughed it up.

LOL. The Winchesters are secure in their masculinity.

Taking apart the Remington was interesting.... sorta like a Chinese puzzle. Inside was some pretty nice design and engineering, and after I cleaned it up and re-assembled it worked slicker than snot. I kind of wish I kept it, but I gave it back to the neighbor and he gifted it to his nephew.

Neat gun, and I'm glad I had my hands on it.

+1 for cutting the barrel for an excellent $100 HD "scattergun"

I always thought diagraming sentences was one of the most useless exercises of all

See post #20. I did not buy it, I conned my neighbor into buying it.
