FN 49 help

Years ago I was gifted an FN-49 in 30.06. Unfortunately it came in a taped up box as a basket case. Is anyone familiar with the assembly of this rifle?

Or can you suggest a gunsmith in the Fresno area that would be good for this project?

I have found instructions online on this but i don't own the necessary tools to do the work and I want it done correctly so the rifle is safe to use.

Is the barrel installed on the receiver? If it is, all you should need to assemble it are a few screwdrivers...

Look on YouTube. Plenty of assembly videos there.

Also post some pictures, ill be able to tell you if you have all the parts you need.

What SVT said about pictures and the mechanicals.
Over the last decade or so I've tried to wean myself off SKS honey and spend a few bucks more for an upgrade in milsurp weapon platforms, an Egyptian FN49 gave me the jump start down the main battle rifle rabbit hole. I'm pleased where it's taken me. PAX
