    A few k98k's

Had some k98k's out for their annual wipe down. And this time for packing for the move.

The forum program downsizes the picture files so don't know if they pics will show enough details.

These are all in original condition; meaning, no refinishing, no sanding, no wood 'cleaning.' Except for the walnut stocked dot 43, they are all '44-'45 and 'not carried' condition. This is how the wood should look. Not sanded, not varnished, not bleached, etc.

The fews pics in the end are of a 1945 Steyr in phosphate with a rough walnut stock.

All those ordinary rifles and no harbor freight home improvement modifications that guarantee half-minute groups at 1,000 yards effortlessly and quickly? .

Did you collect them all individually or get them from another collector?

Very nice, are you going to post them on the K98K forum or the gunboards K98K site?

individually over the decades. i?ve had more than i can remember. just down to a few examples. it?s true that we really don?t owns these. we are just caretakers for a time and then they move on.

i used to be active on those forums but that was a long time again. and gunboards is hardly the same now. at least of couple of these are in the kriegsmodel book.
