    JP,

I do not doubt you could get it to fire, I'm sure you probably could, but if it is fire damaged, I do not think it would ever be safe.

I like you here at the forum, I'm glad you did not get it. I don't want to see you all "Blowed" up and unable to type.

Hard to put the tinfoil on when your hands are all cut up. LOL

Well dude, I'd use a string and sand bags first *DUH* hahahaha

Everyone said my 9mm would exlpode from welding the barrel at the chamber too, I guess from "changing the metalurgy" from the heating/cooling cycle of the weld on the hardened barrel. The chrome lining stayed intact also.

Thanks for the kind words "D"

I just got another one of your mag lock kits for my new XM177, very nice design I love your kit and I HIGHLY endorse/reccomend it.

Before going JP's method, I'd try the vinegar method...

Let it sit in a bucket of regular store bought white vinegar for 24 hours and let the rust flake away. Check how much pitting you have and go from there.

Here's the vinegar method used on some of my old rusty M1 clips:

Ebay is getting lax recently. Either that or not as many whiney sniveling liberals out there making waves.

(the 30-06 auction #320040281670 has been removed probably out of embarassment)
