If all of the numbers are "matching" and the finish on the rifle is blueing the rifle isn't original. Garands were originally assembled from batches of parts and you want to look for corresponding drawing numbers to the date of the receiver. Usually the hardest part to find original on a Garand is the stock. Most of the "all original" Garands had their stocks swapped out from wear and tear. Anyway this is a great site to determine if your rifle is correct:

If the rifle is truely original, depending on condition you're looking at 1,600-2000 on up.
For a correct garand you're looking at about 1,200ish
If it turns out to be a mixmaster you're in the ballpark of 650-800

ok so im gonna put the pics up in the first post. for the most part everything on the list on that website was correct a few parts were the right number but for earlier serial numbers and a part or two were in between two lots like the 8th vartiation i assume. the one post war part is the bolt. it has pretty good rifleing. i couldnt see the bore shine because i forgot the borelight. but all in all everything was war time manufacture. so im assuming they needed replacement parts and put spare lot parts on it.

We'll if the bolt is incorrect the best you could shoot for is selling it as a correct grade if you were to find someone that has that bolt and if it has a similar park. I can't see from the pictures but does the stock have a correct cartouche (It would be on the other side of the stock from what you took pictures)? If it does you could probably get $1,200 for it give or take if all of the parts are correct. If the stock isn't correct and is a replacement you could probably get $800-1000. The sling adds a bit more value as well.

Overall it's a good looking Garand. Have you shot it?

no cartouche so im thinking either worn off or its a replacement. my dad shot it said its great but i just got it off of him. i want to start practicing for the garand comps so i figured i might as well get this one. yeah the sling is really nice

You can always try to clean the stock with some mineral spirits to see if a cartouche is visible. Also if you have access to muzzle wear and throat erosion gauges that would help determine the value more. If you don't have access to those tools you can always take a picture of an M2 Ball round stuck in the muzzle.

yeah I have to replace the stacking swivel. and yes it has the lockbar sights. most of the parts are proper for the year of manufacture but a few parts are from previous years.

From your pictures I am seeing something that tells me your Garand may have been through a rebuild. The barrel chamber face looks like it is not "In the white". Meaning the barrel chamber face has been parkerized, and is not raw metal. This is from the barrel and receiver being reparkerized at one time by the government. I could be wrong, hard to tell form the picture. It looks like you have Type 3 lockbars, and a very early grooved hand guard clip, very cool. Is the gas plug missing? Looks like you have a very nice Garand, and if the barrel is in good shape it should be a great shooter.
