The front site blade on my 1903 was a tiny little bit bent to the left at the tip. I wanted to correct it as I think it was messing with my accuracy. That was a mistake. Well I took my multitool and put just a slight amount of pressure on it to bend it straight. When I say slight I mean slight. I knew there was a chance I could break it if I put too much force on it. You know how most metals, when pressure is applied, will just bend? Oh was I in for a surprise.
So I put a little force on it and it didn't move. I tried again with slightly more, and it didn't move. So I tried a few more times and then! Bam! It snapped off. I had no idea it would be so brittle! I mean it barely needed to move at all to make it straight, and just a slight correction was enough to snap it.
Boy did I, and do I still, feel like an idiot. I just sat there staring at it saying a few choice words.
So now I need a few front site blade.
I found these: http://www.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd....SKU=545830&MC=
I can buy either just the blade, or a whole new assembly. I need just the blade.
