$ rate for Lake City '06?

Can anyone tell me what the going rate might be for a case of 960 30.06 Lake City rounds bought from the CMP?

Does anyone know if these rounds would be in bandoleers?

    thx

I sold some LC’69 about 2 years ago here for $1 a round. Don’t think it would be any cheaper now. Watch the stupid 500 round limit.

THANK YOU. I'd forgot about the 500 rd issue. I hate to break open the case but it looks like I'll have too.

I wonder if that could be got around by selling 470 on the 31st and the rest on the 1st???

      $1 a round? Cool...

2 purchases and one shipment containing those separate
        purchases

        Interesting

Is it shipping 500 or purchasing 500?

You can sell up to 500 a month. i.e ONE box of 22's...

I did have a brainstorm. I can sell 500 and my wife can sell the rest. Still a way to get around the Dumbocrats..!

960 rounds is probably going to break down into 4 240 round spam cans. you definitely need to open the crate-

            a) to sell them legally in Ca.
            and
            b) to see exactly what you have. the cans will be clearly marked as clips/bandoleers or 20rd cartons.

Those are usually in bandoleers. 48 rounds per bandoleer, with 4 bandoleers per can. This is all by memory, so maybe not perfect.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

If you sell it on gunbroker, you might find a buyer that wants the intact crate, and would take it that way. Did you look up the lot number to find out what year it is? Buyers will want to know if it's corrosive, which it almost surely is not, if the CMP sold it.

Gunbroker is an auction site, and would likely get you the most money. No transfer fees, etc.

                    Regarding the price;
A LGS has had 400 rd ammo cans of Lake City for $440 for about 8 months and I bought a couple of cans when they first received them. I was in there a month ago and they still had a few cans left.

Over the last month, there have been 2 sellers on The CMP web site that sold some Lake City for ~.85 rd, but it was local pick up only and they were in the midwest.

one day I'll be able to put my finger on exactly why this website harbors so many skinflints/lowballers. it's a bug, not a feature.

here's a link to the real world of U.S.G.I. M2 ammo value-

notice theses are the smaller 192 round capacity.

fair value for 240 rounds clipped in bandoleers in a spam can is probably $300. that is why OP needs to open the crate verify what he has.

people get $1 or more just for U.S.G.I. clips. of which there are 30 for 240 rounds. plus the 5 bandoleers.

The Greek that the CMP had were 192 rds if in bandos with clips. I?ve bought 240 rds but they were LC and boxed( no clips or bandos)

OK, I opened the crate (glad I did) There are four ammo boxes with 240 rounds in each. The rounds are packed in 20 round boxes. No clips or bandoleers. I got them on sale in the "ammo section" for $1 a round. I'll even throw in the ammo box!
