    Make your own slow match. Easy. Safe.

    No need for storing potassium sulfate. You only need fireplace ash and vinegar and hemp rope.
    As long as you have powder and ball (or shot) you just need patch material. Old timers from way back then used tow made of hemp. Some modern shooters just use cloth (for patches). (Cloth was more expensive than powder or lead back then).
    No caps or flints necessary. Matchlock reproductions are cheaper than other systems (simpler to make the lock).

    Im guessing using jute rope will be the same. I cant find hemp rope for sale. Kalifornia idiots smoked it all I guess.

      Yes, jute is ok too. So is cotton. (The matchcord that Dixie Gun Works sells is cotton).
