    Dutch Rolling Block

Picked this guy up and have been doing some research on them. Can anyone else tell me anything about these and are they collectible? My first exposure to rolling block rifles.

I believe that is a Danish RB. Swedes, Danes, and Norwegians bought them and made them under contract. Offset rear sight is a tell tale. Never heard of a Dutch roller.
An old forum member here, 6MMintl, made them shoot. Hit him up for info.

You may be right for it being Danish is what I originally thought. Saw some listings for them listed as Dutch so thought I was mistaken.

I didn?t read all this Wikipedia info but it might be your gun, Some military RBs had a feature of some kind that I think when the block is closed the hammer drops to half cock, or something like that. I like the high spur hammer on it.

Here’s some on Gunbroker that it looks like…

Simpson sells a bunch of these. Sporterized stuff they sell for circa $400. Unmolested guns in good condition they ask up to a little North of $1000 or more. Check their "Antiques", they have a couple dozen for sale but only a few are unmolested. https://simpsonltd.com/whats-new/?_b...and=260&page=3
