C&R firearms found stored in Ukrainian salt mine!

What a fantastic cache. I'd like to have a shopping cart and a day to pick and choose.. Well more like a month or two!

    Poke'm with a stick!

This confirms what the owner, well at least then of Kvar told me at the Pomona Gun show in the early nineties. He was from what was then Armenian SSR of the Soviet Union. He was in the Soviet Army, and stationed in Ukraine. He said that the amount of stuff stored in Ukraine was beyond belief. He told of rifles, machine guns, mortars, etc literally stacked to the ceiling. At that time he said most were obsolete weapons, and captured Axis weapons. Also at that show a guy who set up next to me who sold cowboy guns had a helper who was an ex German POW. He told me since he was captured he helped restore weapons the Soviet Army had captured. He didn't get back to Germany till 1955 or so, and said they were all in Siberian warehouses with other POW's working off Germany's debt to the USSR.

I used to work with a man in the 1970's who emigrated from Cuba, claimed he took part in the Bay of Pigs debacle. He told me of large caches of weapons preserved and buried in running stream beds, probably still there.

Crate after crate of BRAND new 1928 Lend/Lease Thompsons, brand new Maxims, just insane. This is definitely one of the most epic C&R caches we've ever seen. It's a shame, all of that C&R goodness that will probably never see the light of day. What a shame. Most of us could literally spend months in there just opening crates and drooling. That place would be heaven for any C&R person.
