    Just saw a M31.

I love the old military stuff. Just saw my first M31.
Looks like a nice old semi auto cambered in 9 mm.
Anybody got one of these or can they tell me anything about them.

They are built up using old Suomi submachinegun parts kits on newly made semi-auto receivers. A new 16 inch barrel is used to comply with NFA rules. While I think the Suomi is a really neat looking gun, all of these semi-auto subguns look kind of hokey with the long barrel on there. That's the main reason I've never followed through with buying a semi-auto Thompson or STEN.

That must be why the guns used to be full auto machine guns and are now semi-autos.
