I highly recommend getting in with Dave at Century. He is always sending emails about sales and dealing with him is so easy.

LOL! I think you're right; maybe even have a club for it or somn'.
But hey if ya' wanna check out these things called Garand I picked up IIRC 3 from 'some dude' REAL nice ones, a 4 digit, a 308 version and one the guy took first place with at something called a JCG match or something.

Legally they (atf) have to call you up and arange an appointment, and it is up to your discression if the meeting takes place at your home or at their offices. 03's are not subject to the same review as 01's and others.

Which is pretty reasonable, seeing that as a license holder you are a link in the chain if they need to track a firearm used in a crime and if the link breaks at you well a criminal could get off because you didn't take 3 min to write something down.

YEs and No, there was a hullabalu over on another site after one guy got one andafter filing with the CLEO in his area they wanted to come inspect him; made multiple attempts to clarify that it was an 03 and not an 01 but they still wanted to inspect..........nothing says they can, but nothing says they cant either- they took it to mean they could inspect his collection.........

Even if that were true, any firearms acquired PRIOR to becoming licensed are NOT part of what can be inspected. Thus, you legally have NO collection on the books to inspect. Furthermore, 03FFLs are NOT required to have a safe or anything secured (unlike an 01 FFL).

What do they want to look at... nothing? Do they just want a freebie, warrantless search? I think telling them to get a warrant would be the proper response to that "request."

True. They can only do this "review" of an 03FFL once a year. I've never heard of anyone having to cart their firearms into the ATFE's offices. Paperwork was all that was required.
