Can anyone identify this 1991A1 grips safety?

I posted this elsewhere , but got no responses.

    Please excuse the large pics...
I have a grip safety on an Ithaca Frame Arsenal rebuild with worn out vertical serrations. All the ID pictures I look at have smooth grip safeties. The tang is not as round as an Ithaca. I'm wondering if it is a commercial part.

Does anyone have any insight as to what kind of grip safety this is?

Thank you. I know the mainspring housing is a Remington Rand with 8 ribs.

I got a thoughtful answer elsewhere.

It's a Union Switch and Signal Part.

check the cool gunsite 1911 webpage as they have details and pictures of oem parts as issued from the various manufactures.
The only thing that is worse than an idiot, is someone who argues with one.

Thanks to the folks at the CMP site. As stated , it's a Union Switch and Signal Grip safety.

The shape of the tang is the same as the US&S. It's just worn out and those are machining marks.

This is a Union Switch and Signal grip safety in much better condition. It's the same.
