I was recently given a Marlin Model 80. From a cosmetic view it looks like crap, the bore however looks great, and the action needs some work to make it function properly again.
As a project I am thinking about restoring it, even tho it's not worth much, It would be a good learning experience. I have found a few places to order parts to make it function.
Is there any known issues that I should address during the process? It's an early gun, I don't believe it's a model E or any thing else.
