So, I Got This Stuff In The Mail ...

Hi,

I sent in my C&R application about a month ago. Today I got this thick package in the mail from the DOJ. It contains the rules about C&R and a list of weapons. There are also various forms for reporting stolen guns as well as inventorying the ones I have.

So, does this mean that I have the C&R? Or, is this just some of the paperwork one gets as the thing is processed?

TIA,
-T

You will get a certificate saying Curio and Relic 03 bla bla bla.
Second are you sure that is DOJ you got that from or BATF?

Was it the big envelope from Virginia?

Once you have been approved for your C&R FFL, ATF sends out a big packet of books and forms from Virginia, and sends a little envolope with your license from Georgia. They usually arrive within a week of each other, but you never know which will arrive first.

Yep! That's exactly what it is. Its postmarked from Virginia.

Cool, so now I wait for the license from Georgia.

Thanks!

That package means you should be getting your license in < 1 week.

FWIW, My license had a return address of West Va on the blue envelope.

C&R FFL holders should also get a COE

Don't forget to get your COE for CA transfers.

I got two packages of books when I got my C&R. They made up for it though, when I changed my address, I go two copies of my C&R but only 1 package of books.

I got THREE packages of books and TWO C&R's (they messed up an address on the first).

I know I could look it up , but since you all are here and have done it... What is the cost of getting a C&R license in CA?

Got home from work today and there was a green envelope on my desk. Inside was my C&R. Took 9 weeks and still have not received the packet with the books and info but why wait for that stuff. Sending copies and fax's out tonight. Let the spending begin.

Now have a C&R and a CCW so do I need a COE? Don't know if the COE is worth the trouble. All this is for the PRK (Kern County).
