Sistema Colt Cal. 11.25 mm Model 1927

Found this Sistema at the gun show today. The blue looks better than these pics make it look and has the orginal black grips. It is all matching eccept the magazine (kinda) The slide, frame match and the barrel is one number off and most likely an assembly mistake during manufacturing.

Nice find, I recently saw this Sistema for sale locally, but I had already blown the month's budget on several antiques, hope the pic works.

That's like the fourth Sistema I've seen that had one of the components with serial number off by one number from the rest of the gun! Maybe the assembly line got off kilter one day.

It sold for $595 a few weeks ago, reduced from $650, described as "ser.# 442XX, circa 1948, all original, no import marks, excellent bore, beautiful argentine crest, Ejercito Argentina Army, all matching frame, slide and barrel and black argentine contract grips, 94%+ original blue with a little carry wear and thinning spot on front"

I was sorely tempted to buy it, but bought a few older antique Colts instead.

Really? The odds of it being anything besides a mistake during assembly would make me a multi millionaire in Vegas

If it doesn't rain too hard I am going to see how they shoot

This one was half that price.
