I love them. So much fun shooting them. Both of these are .22 LR. The one with the silver coin looks like it belongs in a museum. It is in great condition.

What is cool is there isn't a single marking on the receivers. No serial numbers, nothing. It is on the underside of the barrel, under the hand guard.

I put the two liter bottle there for size reference. Had a good day at the range with them. Sorry, crappy photos.

Remington Model 4, 2nd variation take down. Nice pair!
1st variation (1890-1900) was a solid frame with a tapered octagon barrel, 2nd variation had the lever take down, and straight octagon barrel, 3rd and last, had a thumbscrew take down, and round barrel. 356,000 made from 1890 to 1933.
Mine is chambered for .22Short & .22Long, and has the rare original Lyman tang sight, and Lyman Ivory bead folding front Beech sight. Sights are worth more than the gun itself, and the #4's are getting pricey, even for the .25 and .32cal rimfires.

I'm surprised that one of the ammo companies hasn't done a run on .32RF. There's hundreds of thousands of them that are in excellent shape, and no ammo. Unless you want to pay $5 a round for collector stuff.

Beautiful little rifles you got there. I have a 1902 (I think) 7MM two band full stock rifle and a three band wall hanger. I think it’s .43 caliber. My dad paid $14 and $9 for them in the early 60s, mailed to our front porch. Recently here on Calguns was a beautiful Italian “John Bodine” .45-70 with tang sight. It was around $900 and took weeks to sell. I couldn’t understand that and almost went for it.

My friend Don started this project two years ago Nov, and had never built a rifle before. He started with a #5 action, This was day one:


Myself and a couple of others walked him through the whole process. One hiccup, and lots of panic, when he was glass bedding the buttstock, and didn't use enough release agent. Some coaxing with a rubber mallet fixed that. Sent it out for bluing and color case. Finally fire formed his first .40/60 brass 2 days ago.

Ken, it was C. Sharps, they did the barrel work, blue & color case, bobbed the hammer, and re-cut the checkering on the breech block & hammer. Have him talked into doing another one, on a #2 Sporting action in .32/40 or 38/55, and doing a Hepburn lever conversion on it.
