C & R Question

I just got my C & R license, it took exactly two weeks from the time they hit my credit card for the $30.00.
Thanks to Calgunner Inoxmark for sharing his extra forms. When I get mine I will do the same.

My question is. I live in a large apartment complex and I don't want any guns I may (will) buy being delivered here, so on the application I put my apt address for ''Applicant's Address ''and under ''Mailing address'' I put the address I would like to have any shipments sent to. Did I do this correctly?

On the License it has my apt add. as'' Premises Address'' and the other add as theMailing address.

Are the sellers required to send to the Mailing add or the Premises add? or either?

Legally, there is no requirement to ship to any address on the license. However, as a practical matter, nobody with any common sense will send to any other address unless you were personally known to them.

Most sellers will ship to either address on the license although I know of a few that will only ship to the premesis address.

The last entry in the thread that Trickster referenced has the official BATF interpretation on the matter.
