Leave it alone. Honest finish wear is far and away better than turning it into some abomination that has been blued or cerakoted..

I don't know how other people are doing it, but those pictures are way too tiny for me to tell anything about the condition.

My example has a semi greenish hue to it, so if that's what you're trying to describe it's normal.

Ceracoting a 1903 is a good way to spend $200 to turn a $900 rifle into a $400 rifle.

I have seen this too many times to count. With very rare exceptions, it is always better to resist the urge to "improve" a military rifle.

I was in a pawn shop the other day and the owner proudly showed me a genuine '03-A4 that had been turned into a hunting rifle with nice wood and a beautiful deep blue finish. It was well done and no doubt cost the guy that did it a fair amount of money. While I have no doubt it was done years ago, nevertheless all I could think of when looking at it was a $4K rifle had been turned into a $400 rifle.

I can still see them now, green tint parkerized bolts, barrels, bands, etc at multiple rows at the Pomona Gun Show……….1903’s and M1’s. Plus all the NOS parts, I didn’t buy enough should have been greedier

As mentioned by more than a few of the gentlemen hare don't mess with it other than general cleaning and preserving.
