Look for a Century Arms mark on the barrel. "CAI St Albans Vt." Often they were lightly struck.

      It's a post 1986 import.

The serial number prefix for your rifle is the one that was added/modified at import:

        EG ####

The Cyrillic to Latin transliteration of the prefix is incorrect. But it is still the serial prefix that was given to the rifle when imported.

This type of import serialization is typical of the early Century Arms Imports. Import stamp will most likely be located on the barrel near the cleaning rod.

            Translation:

            "Drink more Ovaltine"
"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke speech of 23 April 1770, "Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents," delivered to the House of Commons.
