M1 Garand Special New Stock finishing

    Hello All,

I bought an M1 Garand Special two years ago.

I bought it as a shooter, but I want the new stock finished. It has not been shoot since I bought it.

Can anyone recommend a a place that will finish the stock in the greater LA area? I do not have time or the talent to do it properly.

Again this is not a refinish, but finishing a new stock. Any recommendations are greatly recommended I am even willing to ship the stock only to the right person or team.

    Thank you for your assistance.

If you like the way I do them, I could do it for you for maybe just a small donation towards the materials, you'd have to send it to me up in the Fresno area.

I've never done them for other people, but I enjoy doing them. I do re dye mine to add more red tones, but I don't have too if you didn't like it. I use alchohol base dyes, Fiebrings and Chestnut ridge military stock die and then I use a pure tounge oil finish following by Tom's 1/3 wax.

Here's a Rack Grade special I just did. Same new CMP stock as yours would have.
