To me, they are more aesthetically pleasing and look "right" when they have some wear patterns and a few scars.
I wonder if the guy is interested in your rifle because of the classic caliber. .38-55s seem to get premium prices compared to others.

He says he wants to hunt with it, and the Henry is too heavy for him. Seems odd, but what do I know. 38-55 is a very cool caliber to shoot, and is my favorite among all my Winchesters. I happen to have a circa 1901 1894 in my collection that is a special order and lettered. I love love love shooting it.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

The deal is done. I traded my slightly used 1894 Legendary Frontiersman for a Uberti copy of the 1860 Henry. The fellow I was trading with sealed the deal by offering three boxes of .45 Colt factory ammo as boot.

GOOD! Uberti's are nice guns and are part of the Benelli family.

I gotta admit - that Henry repop is a heavy beast. Probably around 10 pounds or so.

I have the 73 rifle in .45 Colt. Recoil is like a pellet gun.
