    CFARS C&R reporting system

So I'm excited to get into collecting C&R firearms since I just received my 03(now just waiting on my COE). I'm looking at getting those nambu pistols in the future and noticed that on CFARS, the 8mm nambu caliber option is not there. I wanted to know if the caliber or any other information that needs to be accurate when I report it. I know that if I buy C&R pistol in state an 01 will handle that. But I was thinking what will I do once I import one myself from another state.

There might be a generic 8mm caliber option. Strange how they have some calibers that I can even find on Google (.953 Saturn, 8.59 Galaxy, etc), but not others.

CFARs is a hot mess, it seems as if the programming and design were done on Windows 95 by a Soviet Bureau of Misinformation Programmer named Ludmila.

When I used to work at a shop and we dros’d something that wasn’t in the system (7.62x38r comes to mind) we selected the closest to it, which in this case was “7.62 russian” and in the notes section we would put in something like “caliber is not listed on drop down, actual caliber is 7.62x38r”

          AFAIK...
For a Nambu pistol in 8mm do the following:
Use the 8mm lebel option in the drop down menu and then in the comment section, write "Caliber not listed, actual caliber is 8x22mm Nambu."

The instructions specifically say to select the closest thing, then put the exact caliber in the notes. In general, it's apparent the DOJ doesn't care that much about "caliber", since their system lumps together all kinds of calibers. Like 7.62x54r and 7.62x39 are the "same" selection. It's not very accurate. Even then, for a rifle I registered as 8mm Mauser, the paperwork they sent me literally just says "Caliber 8". For a rifle in .300 Blackout, it just says "Caliber 300". No decimals, no units. Could be .300 Win Mag for all they know.

Just tried it, it logged right on but had a reminder that my current password expires 07/19. What other stupid websites change/kill your passwords without notifying you unless you sign in all of the time? Once again, the CADOJ/BOFs mission is to make dealing with them as frustrating and annoying as possible for law abiding citizens. They just doxxed many of us, also randomly change our passwords all of the time. Our tyrant overlords who give us permission, if we jump through enough hoops, to be subjugated by their idiocy and professional incompetence.

I could access and log into it this evening. Ha! Never misunderestimate the CADOJ capacity to make it as difficult as possible to comply with the rules and regulations.

That is their mandate, no lie. I'm pretty convinced they are given bonuses for each delay and subterfuge. And as a reward, gift with purchase, their boss Bonta, doxxed all of us CCW holders. Thanks California!
