Grip Adapters

Years ago when guying them new many of us tossed the factory grips and put on Pachmayr, Jay Scott, Mershons, Fuzzy Farrant or Mustang - or factory target.

On 2" or 4" fixed sight grip adapters work well with the factory service.

Tylers are still around but for some reason take a year to get. Other choices -

Pachmayr, still available from Numrich



Robertson Trading Post has a near Tyler copy made of brushed aluminum for K,L & N frame Smiths - $27.00 each, good price




BK Grip Adapters are made from a hard, dense resin (or epoxy) and are colored through and through. For Smiths and Colt D frame, but can be easily adapted to Ruger, Charter and even a Uberti copy of the Schofield

I liked the pachmayrs since plastic is less likely to scratch steel..

I think I have a grip adapter for one of your Colt's. It's yours if you want it. It's for the Officers Model and the Official Police.

From what I found that adapter is a early model, as it doesn't have a zip code molded into it.
