not worth much. theyre generally considered to be a "saturday night special" type pistol. many people who do collect saturday night specials do go for them however. depending upon condition id say its probably worth around $100 (that might be generous). probably more hassle then its worth having to deal with selling it. during one of those 'gun buy back' programs his wife might want to turn it in for a $50 gift certificate (thats the going rate this year, but last year they did hand out $100 gift certificates). alternatively you could turn it in for them as well, since no questions are asked when surrending firearms. thats all assuming that they want to get rid of it.

ETA: try pricing it on one of the gun auction boards: gunsamerica.com, auctionarms.com, gunbroker.com

    here's one:

do note however that firearms posted on gunsamerica and auctionarms tend to be overinflated by 10-20%.

Thanks, I will watch for a turn in program for them. I would buy it since I am a revolver shooter but I like guns I can shoot and I'm not shure this is one I would want to shoot much. Way to cheaply made and the only way to extract rounds is to push the rod into each chamber one at a time. No extractor star on this gun.

Does this say Clerke Santa Monica CA on it? Someone brought one into a gunstore a few years back, it looked like it was made of cheap cast parts.

However since I grew up in Santa Monica and took my first NRA course there this pistol holds a strange appeal to me, if I ever find one nearby and cheap I'll pick it up. I may be the only one in the country who wants one.
