    Spring kit for M1 Carbine?

Got a couple M1 Carbines and want to replace the springs to ensure reliability. They may be original. Don't know as I've had the guns for about 15 years or more.

Did a search and there is a bewildering amount of options. Any suggestions? Love shooting these rifles.

Also, any suggestions on spare parts to stock? I did buy a complete USGI bolt and spare extractor at gun show about ten years ago.

I just started using an M1 carbine in monthly CMP matches and I got a Wolff spring kit for when the time comes, but for now it seems to work fine with the springs that were installed by whichever government was using it last.

I don't have any spare parts for mine, but an extractor is probably a good one to have.

Partly it depends on what you are going to do with it. It will last a long time as is if you take it out a few times a year and shoot 100 rounds, but if you use it for 3 gun and practice 1,000 rounds a month, you will probably want some trigger group parts.

One of the two has weak ejection, which is what got me thinking about it. I had Googled Wolf springs intending to replace just the ejector spring but came across recommendations to just replace them all.

I occasionally plink with them. No 3 gun matches

As a general rule, avoid aftermarket enhanced or "extra power" springs for US Service rifles. They work just fine with the ones designed for them and there are plenty of sources for original, new springs for a US M1 Carbine.
