    Mosin M38

Never had an M38 before and never owned a Finn Mosin. Killed two birds with one stone and scratched that itch. Lots of history on this rifle. Wish it could talk!

Very nice. That rifle has a lot of character and texture to both the wood and the metal. I have an M39, I've looked at and almost a bought a few M38s and M27s at gun shows but they weren't in as nice condition as yours so I always passed.

You got yourself a nice one there. My M38 is a crowd favorite due to the obnoxious recoil and fireballs. The Finns had the knack for taking a good Russian rifle and making it a great rifle. I would say yours is pretty uncommon and lots of curb appeal. A keeper for sure.

Thanks. It does have lots of character such as transitional M38 stock, button rifling, most likely used in continuation war and no import marks. Definitely a keeper.

The M38 has the best balance of any Ruskie Mosin in my opinion. That is before you shoot it and the recoil shakes off your deodorant.

A Continuation War capture. Nice. Nice. Nice.

I have a Finn capture M38 dated 1938 with first pattern stock and handguard. The captured M38s are extremely rare. Is it matching serial numbers? Mind telling me what you paid for it (pm if you want).
