    Cool Mauser grips.

    I'm in the UK currently.
Been seeing and inspecting lots of very interesting guns here.
My favorites are the MP44's, Thompsons and interesting Bren variants.

This morning I found this Mauser 712 (select fire) with it's nice UK import grips.
A cherub holding a Mauser with a dagger for back up.

It is 100% legally owned and it does fire in semi and full-automatic.
*Section 5 licensees can own these.

That was the real reason for the post

It has a high rate of fire - at 15 yards, with a firm grip I could keep 3-4 round bursts on target with the first round center mass and subsequent rounds spread out North.
Leaning into it, like a 40's tommy-gunner helped a bit, and literally tapping the trigger shortened the burst, I only tried for an afternoon, I dare say with practice you might find a technique.
Supposedly there was some recoil-benefit to shooting it "Gangster" style held sideways, I didn't try that.

I was looking at the date of this thread's start, and looking at it again, trying to determine if it was a re-post, a double-post, etc. having recalled the thread link you cited from some time ago.

Several years ago I came across these grips for sale somewhere, can't recall where, and almost bought the set just because I thought they were such a commentary of the times.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?
