    M1 Garand from CMP

Can anyone with experience ordering a rifle from CMP and having it delivered to their door using their FFL03 and COE comment on the appropriate documentation? Once acquiring the rifle, do you fill out the "Collector In-State Acquisition of Curio or Relic Long Gun Report" or the "Curio or Relic Firearm Report" on CFARS? It is a bit confusing which would be appropriate. Also, in the "Acquired from" section, what do you select? Do you select "other" and write CMP in the comments? I have looked online but am not finding any clear answers. Any help would be appreciated.

If you're in CA, CMP will not deliver it to your door. You need to use an 01 FFL.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

This is absolutley not true, so long as you have the licensing the op has.

Op. Not sure which form to use. Please post if /when you figure it out.

Rifle shipments to CA must be made to a State licensed dealer or may be made to individual homes, providing that a CA Certificate of Eligibility and a Curio and Relic License are provided.
        I stand corrected.

That is exactly how I received my CMP Garand, delivered straight to my door via UPS, but that was back in 2016. I had thought that with the revisions to FFL03 + COE laws here about home delivery of C&R long guns that it was no longer possible to have a CMP rifle shipped to your door?

But I also recall reading a few years ago a discussion on CG about how the CMP was doing it anyway, even though CADOJ didn't like it? Is any of this ringing a bell CG old timers?

In 2018 I reported mine in CFARS using the "Collector In-State Acquisition of Curio or Relic Long Gun Report", for Acquired From I put "private party", and in comments I put "Civilian Marksmanship Program Public Law 104-106 (Title 36, Chapter 407)".

Seems to have worked OK, the Status still shows as "In Progress", but then so does every firearm I've reported.
