    C&R Application Help

Well boys, I recieved my C&R application on my 21st birthday. I filled out everything. My question is, do I need to send the second form to my local police department before I send in this application. It seems that BATF wants to know the guys name and the address before it can be sent.

Has everyone done this? I live in riverside anyone with a little help of who and where to send it too would be great.

I just put my local chief of police name on an envelope and dropped it off at the front desk. Local PD does not care, it is just a professional acknowledgment.

So, does BATFE even verify that you have given a copy to your CLEO? I'm just curious, I will definitely jump through all the hoops when my app comes in (not worth getting it revoked over something stupid).

Also to the OP, about how long did you wait for your app to come?

          No, they do not.

Depends on your CLEO, the one in San Leandro will give you a interesting phone call.

I received an "interesting" call as well from Milpitas Police.

might you boys be so kind as to enlighten us how "interesting" is defined in your particular cases?

Perhaps "interesting" alludes to something that is in fact interesting and I should have chosen another adjective. In my case it was nothing of the sort. The officer related to me how they actually receive the letters fairly regularly which surprised me as Milpitas is a small city. He also indicated that this was merely a formality and that the ATF does not verify the letters and Milpitas Police doesn't do anything with the letters.

As an aside. I just signed up for dealer pricing with MidwayUSA. Woohoo!

I got my forms about 2 weeks after I had requested them from the ATF website. I actually recieved it on my 21st birhday (june 9th) and did not get it sent out until a few weeks later. I'm not sure if I had to lie or not to get the application before I was 21..

My account has been hit for the $30.00 its been about a week now, so I'm hoping i can find it in my mailbox by the end of next week. We shall see.

                      Receipt of C&R FFL

I'm in Tulare County and received my C&R FFL almost exactly 2 weeks after CC was hit. A week after receiving the License I received the information packet. Some receive the information packet and then the license. Lots of variables between the BATFE and Post Offices involved!

You should receive one or both very soon.
