    What is the arsenal code?

    What condition is it in?

    Has it been modified?

    Post clear detailed photos.
    Poke'm with a stick!

I've been casually looking for a RC 98 off and on for a while. One thing I've noticed is that the fact it's an RC seems to not be particularly relevant. They are neither more expensive because they are desired, or are they less expensive as less desirable. They are middle-priced among german mausers, and condition trumps all else, with some exception to year and code for a few that seem to go for more. RC or not.

Ronin6, without more details - your question is like asking what is the current value of a house in the United States.

Look at Gunbroker sales if you want a range of values.

Just know that if you buy a Mitchell's Mauser - you may get insulted by collectors.

Unaltered RCs are starting to get some respect as an example of the k98 spectrum, IMHO. North of $800? for a common arsenal code is probably a good starting point nowadays. That might even be low.

I bought a few when Cole’s started importing them, I converted the best Shooters into Faux Snipers ( Long Slide, Short Slide, High Turrets ). Never got to the Sweptback plus today the Single and Double Claw are available. I used original Zelvier scopes on those.

You know of anyone who would install the Sweptback ( I have that scope but never got to that project ), or even the Claws?
              Nice.

I've got several Yugo 98/48's and have been considering converting one to a faux sniper. Was planning on using the Accumount high turret system.

Who did your work for you? Are you happy with your high turret model?

              Thanks.

I have a "42" code 1939 dated RC. I remember when they were under $200 and now I see them advertised at a grand or more. Crazy times we live in indeed.

                    I've got a "237" code and a RC 1941 Portuguese K98's.

I sold a Banner Mauser RC a few years back...

One of my more unusual coded RC K98K.

So what is a fair price for RC K98’s these days in SoCal?

A grand or more? I am getting priced out of this hobby.
