Generally and from the ATFE point of view. Weapons that are loaded from individual components are not firearms. State and local laws are not as clear. CA 's zip gun definitions are pretty vague. And there maybe local ordinances that forbid the firing of "non-firearms'.
Once I had a lathe I could barely wait to make a cannon. Now I have one in .50 cal and one "quarter bore" (1" bore)and I know the next trip to the junk yard is going to cost me...

Just when I thought I'd seen it all, Calgunners never cease to suprise me, DIY cannons, damn. Just hope you guys stay careful, don't get Darwinated.

Speaking of legalities, does any one have a copy of the " potato gun " ruling, declaring it a non gun, and, wouldn't this fall under it?

edit:just found it, on wiki, I guess not

What about the 19th? Can the Commerce Clause be used to make it illegal for voting women to buy shoes from another state?

Thanks command liner... Very inspiring. This renews my resolve to find a place to shoot my swivel gun. Three ounces of 3f that has got to be a big boom.
