^^ ThisBut this is one of the problems Im having. $6 for 1/2 yd and another $6 just to ship.
Guess I will have to invest in a micrometer.
Speaking of patches. Has anyone ever tried using HOPPES #9 black powder cleaner as a patch lube? It seems pretty thin to me to use as such but I've head people do it.
Hence, the term "Spit-patch".
In the days of yesteryear, a patch was first moistened in the mouth.
But honestly, if you care about accuracy, you shouldn't really be using a cleaner on your patches after every shot.
Front stuffer accuracy performs best when your bore is a little dirty or "seasoned" after the first few fouling shots.
Save using cleaners for when the bore becomes fouled enough to where the ball/patch starts to become harder to ram down.Last edited by GOEX FFF; 03-06-2022, 1:22 AM.Comment

I know and...ewww.... I'll wait until they bottle it...
I just tried that Hoppes #9 BP cleaner as a patch lube. NOT impressed. Found out you can't lube them a day in advance. It dries out.... Live and learn.Comment
