    Reproduction Stocks

Anyone know of a company or individual who makes custom surplus stocks?

Recently bought a Hakim rifle with from an import lot. Long story short I got the short straw of the lot and there's a lengthy split down the underside and the tang into the grip. The wood around the butt plate appears to be worn away or maybe something more akin to dry rot.

I'm worried to shoot it and might just contact the importer. Don't know if any of you have dealt with RTI at all in terms of returns but any help is appreciated.

I'd send it back for an exchange unless the ad stated cracked stocks.

Was it from RTI? All of them were pretty beat up. Out of curiosity what did you pay for it? I'm considering selling one of mine.
      Poke'm with a stick!

Can you glue and refinish it?

I paid 1000 for it. Turn out to be pretty heavily corroded and the stock is not in great shape to the point I'm very hesitant to shoot it after I refinish the action and barrel.

Ad says serviceable with fair to very good condition.

            Update:
On final inspection. Bore doesn't even exist. It looks like a bunch of rough edges and doesn't even continue all the way down the barrel.
            Return for sure.
