    Kindle books.

I think the best book on making black powder.

The author maintains that modern commercial black powders are all crafted for military purposes and therefore far less desirable than typical late 1800's black powder for small arms shooting purposes. All major militaries buy tons of black powder every year. But not for loading their guns.

You can read the first few pages on Amazon Look Inside: anyone can make black powder that has more power, less messy residue, and less hygroscopic. None of which particularly matters much to the military.

Cool, Thank You, I think I may try making my own BP just for fun. I have plenty to last me quite a while but sounds fun.

Now I just need to learn how to make percussion caps and I never need to buy anything luckily my rifles are flintlocks, so I can make that powder.

Ditto, a good read even if I never use it.
