What is the bore like? Are the bolt components matching? For price reference, you can check the ended auctions on Gunbroker and other sites for similar T99s. IMHO, if your T99 is complete (not missing screws and such) and has a good bore, $400 is a fair starting price. Nice MUM definitely adds to the value.

I am no Arisaka expert. Just planning to sell 2 of my T99's next month and have been doing some homework.

$350-$400 is my guess...Matching goodies are what make these expensive...W/O the mum I'd say 250-300. I have a mint matching 3rd series Nagoya with matching original everything I'm going to list this year. I want $2K for it.... Yours is a Nagoya, but I cant make out the series due to the small photo.

Prices for Arisaka's have been going up for the past few years, so honestly I think 300 is already too low. The additional of the AA sights and a clean Chrysanthemum raise it's value as well.

Can't make out the manufacturer and series number well aside from knowing the manufacturer was a subcontractor to Nagoya, but based on the features (AA-sights, rounded bolt handle and checkered bolt knob), it's likely an earlier production rifle. Check the barrel to see if it is chrome lined, since that was something done to earlier manufactured Type 99's, and that would raise it's value a little. If it has front sight wings will also denote if it's an earlier production rifle or not.

Depending on the condition of the barrel and provided there's no significant damage to the furniture (the split along the center of the buttstock was done at the factory to save on wood, and is not damage to the furniture), $400-600 is the average going rate for a mis-matched, earlier production T99 with a Mum on it.

Unfortunately it is a none matching bolt and I would put it at 300 which is fair. a 450 dollar gun with a mum and anti aircraft sights. If you have the original dust cover and monopod it goes up from 600
retreat! we must go comrade we will fight again another day.

If you can get it at $300 grab it. A stock alone will fetch $250. AA sights $60. Cleaning Rod $75. Complete bolt $150.

Based on the images he posted it's a Type 99, it's most likely still chambered in 7.7x58mm Japanese.

It might have been rechambered to to something else if it was a Chinese captured rifle (8x57mm and 7.62x39mm were the most common calibers they were rechambered for though instead of 6.5x50mm) or a Korean-issued rifle (kind of rare, especially since the rifles were rechambered for .30-06 to share ammunition with US rifles during the Korean War).
