    1911A1 magazine

I recently bought a 1943 Remington Rand 1911A1. The magazine was lost in the shipping process. I know my WWI Colt 1911 has a two tone magazine like this:

Is there a "correct" magazine for the WWII era 1911A1s? I need to buy a replacement....anything I should look for towards my Remington Rand?

A Scovill, Little, General Shaver, or Risdon mag would be correct for a Rand. I would look for Risdon or General Shaver, it seems they are easier to find.

Sky hawk is right on. You probably know, they are stamped in the top side of the base plate ( on the tap) with an initial of the maker.

If you can wait a while, I'll have 2 Scovill mags available in April.

I'm keeping Vietnam era mags with my 1911A1 and no longer require the Scovill mags.
