    Egyptian Rolling Block Rifle

    20210921_124007.jpg

20210921_124001 (1).jpgJust got this antique rolling block. I'm assuming it's an M1868 No.1 Remington made for the Egyptians circa 1876. The Arabic on the receiver and barrel are mostly worn off, as is any Remington engraving on the tang (tang is smooth).
.43 Egyptian has too be one of the hardest calibers of ammunition to find and is super expensive. Might not shoot it.

$150 per box of 20. Only pharaohs could afford to shoot that!

$7.50 per round at Buffalo Arms. I’ve probably spent more on other obsolete calibers over the years. It it was mine, I’d shoot it.

If you don’t finish the box off, it would be nice to have a few on hand in case it goes to a new owner.
