So last week I was at Defense and Security Equipment International (DSEI) in London, a military trade show. While it mostly is new stuff - missiles, tanks, armor, etc., Sako had a booth. New Sako and Tikka rifles and cool optics. But, seems this year is the 100 yr anniversary of Sako.

So in their booth, in a case they had this gem - a M28-30. You can't read the little card, which explains in 1937 all the competitors at the World Competition (which was in Finland) used M28-30s.

Inlaid into the stock is this little emblem.

So the sales guys in the booth didn't actually know anything about it, whether this was original, or anything of the like. Some quick internet searching tells me only 440 or so were made, though don't know if all got the inlaid disk. And no, it wasn't for sale. But it was neat to see, thought you'd all appreciate.
