Hey guys,
Decided to pick up a Chinese Type 54 Tokarev; I've always been interested in Toks, and chinese arms.
I see a lot of people replace the trigger-safety with a spare trigger from a russian/warsaw pact trigger. Is there anything in california that prevents me from doing the same? As I understand, the trigger is only for importation, and is not required for the end user?
Also, does it matter what the serial number dates to? I saw some serial numbers for sale are from the 50's/60's, but others are from the 80's. Are just all type 54 blanket legal from a c&r point of view, or are only ones dated 50ish years old?
Thanks!
