    Military Surplus Rifles

Good evening all! I'm thinking about purchasing a military surplus rifle, like an Enfield or an 8mm of some sort. Where is the best place to look at and purchase guns like that? Seems like most gun stores I've been to only sell modern firearms.

I have most of mine at a local bay area shop, seems the wifes bring them in when husband passes.

303 ammo is not cheap. Hasn't been since well before Obama was even elected. Surplus simply dried up. If you reload, it's not a problem. If you don't, plan for ammo supply constraints.

surplus is not really surplus anymore most guns command a premium. If you do not mind the prices I would start looking in pawns and gun broker.

If you can find a friendly FFL that will accept tranfers from an individul and has a fee that you can stomach, I would look at the Gunboards forum, the Trader section specifically.
Make sure the potential seller has a decent history of posting there, and be aware that you will probably need to pay with a USPS money order.

Anyhow.....that'll be where the heaviest concentration of surplus guns will be.

Be sure the numbers match and consult knowledgeable personnel before a purchase. Everyone needs a good SKS.

                            Gunbroker

Sales ad’s here on calguns. If you buy from one of the many online retailers it’s a random rifle picked from a pallet. Although it may be a little
Cheaper, you’re rolling the dice on the quality of firearm you’re buying.

Order here https://www.jgsales.com/index.php and they'll send it to your local FFL dealer.

Best make arrangements ahead of time with your dealer for ease of process.

I bought lots of C&R from these folks back in the day.
