    M1 Garand in 7.62mm

Am I right in assuming that this is still C&R. I will be selling mine and need to know how to transfer it.

Are we talking 7.62x51 or 7.62x63?

        7.62x63 is 30-06

and yes a 308 Garand would still be C&R as the US Navy had quite a few converted to 308

What if the one he has isn't Navy - was done up from a 30.06 version? Still C & R or no?

If it's built on a G.I. receiver, its C&R. Springfield Armory made commercial versions that are not 50 years old in 30-06 and 308 and they are not C&R.
