    Winchester M1 Carbine

I have an Winchester M1 Carbine #56409XX. It has the early flat bolt and a push button safety . Barrel is W marked but other parts are IP, IBM, Ect.
Bore and condition are excellent. Non import. I have had this weapon for over 50 years. Only fired a few times. I see new imports coming in now.
I have several carbines and I am too old to use and enjoy all that I have.
What would the current ball park value be now in here in So Cal.

I would say it would be $1750 for a rebuilt but very nice M1 Carbine, mostly because of the Winchester premium. Less if import marked.

I just bought a Winchester barreled action, arsenal refinished with adjustable rear sight and Type 3 barrel band, no import mark - $1,200.00. Bought a potbelly SA stock and handguard (EBay) for $150.00. I chased a Winchester stock and handguard but when it hit $400.00 I bailed. Perhaps the price difference on a reworked version comes down to the stock.

I paid $1500 for my "correct" late war 1944 5.6xxxxx Winchester Carbine about 2 years ago. Has all Winchester parts.

Has the early barrel band (no bayonet lug), with adjustable rear sight which is actually correct as the adjustable rear sights saw use starting in mid 1944 from what I researched.

In case you were wondering, your Carbine was likely produced in mid March of '44.

Attached is some reference material for determining what parts should fit on the late war Winchester Carbines.

I would say the market right now is about $1500 for a rebuilt carbine. Depending on what IP part(s) yours has it might be slightly more.

I am kinda the same boat where I have several, but just can't seem to part with the extras.
