Ordered a copy when they announced it.
I have the previous two books from Headstamp Publishing.

      Ordered one.

I feel the need to support the Jesus gun guy from Forgotten Weapons.

Personally hate that blasphemous term. Also have zero interest in Chinese Handguns.

It was an interesting period in history. Ordered one. A friend had a neighbor whose grandfather served in Chinese Nationalist Army during the Warlord period, saw some old photographs of him holding a C96 Mauser, probably one of the counterfeits Forgotten Weapons talked about.

Also ordered one, both to support Ian/Headstamp and because it was right up my area of interest of small arms used in the Pacific Theater of WWII/2nd Sino-Japanese War. Also looking forward to the republishing of the Chinese Mauser guide he offered to go along with the book.

I also find the term rather juvenile. I have 0 interest in his books. I can see why people leghump him but overall I'm not interested in his vids.

The Bullpup book I have zero interest in since we pretty much can't buy most of them. The Chinese pistol book I have even less interest in. I wouldn't own a knockoff Wauser.

The French book I did buy because I used to actively collect French rifles. I found it lacking in any advanced information that would be of interest me. I collect the MAS-36 to MAS49/56. I haven't bought any French rifles recently because Ian's cult followers have driven prices to stupid high levels; though I guess if I sell it is good.

Kelt has provided much better information on the forums, than you will find in the book. Though a lot of the information in the book was simply reproduced from Kelt's posts. Kelt should have been given co-author credits.

Also my understanding is he "borrowed" information from Patrick who is the moderator at the gunboards French Forum (he shouldn't be, Kelt should be), but when Patrick's computer was corrupted Ian refused to give him back the backup drive he borrowed.

I don't understand the fascination with Ian. I don't watch many of his videos, but I did watch the FN-49 video and it was a mess. Loaded with inaccuracies.

Ian does a good job with Forgotten Weapons, very informative and entertaining, also liked His book on French Rifles.........The Gun Jesus comes from his Fans.

Nor do I get the fascination with Hickok45. I guess for people that don't have extensive gun knowledge going back many years the videos may be of interest or exciting to them.

The French firearms board at Gunboards is a wealth of information I don't always like everyone there or some of their rules like no value info but it's a good place.

Even with Ian's exposure of French firearms to this day I find bargains on them as the average American gun owner does not like or understand them. I just grin and nod when I hear foolish tired old jokes about French cowards while I scoop up bargains on French firearms so so good you would not believe me if I told you.

He had Gun Jesus Merch, including a poster. That is where it crossed the line for me.

Kelt deserves most of the credit IMO, but I stopped going to gunboards a couple years ago. Since the book I have not found a single good deal on French Firearms, but I also stopped looking. My focus has been on Contract Mausers, and most of my purchases the last year have been outside America.

What leg humping immature child would spend money on that? I actually find more deals on French stuff than contract Mausers but with the internet making everyone an expert it's harder than in years past.
