No worries. I was just hoping to keep you from plastering the same post in all the forums. You'd be amazed at how often that happens. I would recommend gunboards.com, The Parallax View, or Milsurp After Hours for more in-depth advice on that mauser. Also be prepared to post pictures or a list of the markings on it. That helps narrow it down significantly. 7mm mausers are a bit less common than the 8mm versions, so that already helps narrow the field. Try to figure out which model it is (91, 93/95, 98) and which country it was made for if you can.
