    Shooting a C&R Mauser pistol.

Shooting a Mauser C96 is a nice experience.

    This is not a C96.

This is an Mauser Schnellfeuer in 7.63x25 Mauser.
It is an NFA weapon and in this case a C&R amnesty registered one, so quite desirable.

Pardon my COMPLETE ignorance, but what's the difference between both pistols?

One obvious difference is the c96 has a fixed magazine. The pictured pistol has a detachable magazine

One is a Title 1 C&R Handgun and the other is a Title 2 C&R MG.

Just realized the video is not playing, sorry, the M712 in my post is a $35K machine gun.

I had a squirt gun version of the 712 that I took to school, one of the Nuns disarmed me and returned it after school. I would have made the news in 2021.
