Ak stocks don't have pistol grips. The pistol grip is a separate piece which bolts to the bottom of the receiver.Poke'm with a stick!

Back in around 94 I looked into making a poor man's AK with a Chinese SKS. I looked into whatever plastic stuff was around at the time, I believe TAPCO.
In the end, I liked the original stock.
I'd do a FAB defense one of I was forced to.

I've only seen one-- it was a one-off, DIY mod using a standard sks wooden stock paired with a polish AK underfolder stock. I cant remember which site, though.

I would think a laminate Russian stock would be a start. That is as far as I would go though.

Just a personal opinion, but unless you don't have a stock on your SKS, I would leave it alone. They are not a target rifle, nor are they an AK. in stock form they are handy and accurate enough to get the job done that they were designed for and not really much more than that.
I like them and I have a few Russians and a couple Chinese. They are neat little rifles in stock form, trying to alter them into something else results in spending money to make them worth less than when you started.MLC member.

I have an old tapco folder i can sell you if you are interested. It has a pistol grip. Its at least 30 years old back when i was young and couldnt afford an AR.I support peace through superior firepower.
