SKS side rail

Thinking about adding a fixed Molot side rail to an SKS in order to mount a POSP. In order to get proper eye relief, I may have to have it installed a bit forward. The issue here is that it might cover the serial number on the side of the receiver. If so, will this present legal issues regarding the serial number?

Is that the original military serial number? If it was imported it might have an importation serial somewhere else, usually on the barrel

Accumounts makes an all steel. PU repluca scope, mount, and rail specifically for the sks.

Once mounted it does not obscure the original serial number on the left side serial number.
