    CMP 1911 Worth The Wait

For those of you waiting on your numbers for the 2nd round I thought I'd provide some light at the end of the tunnel for you.

My number17932 was assigned March 7th, 2019 so I was all the way at the end of the line and had long since give up on getting a pistol on the first round.

Then around Oct/Nov last year I started noticing on the cmp forum that pistols were still being sent out and my number was getting closer.

I reached out to update my paperwork and soon after got the call and was given a choice of grades. Went with service and asked the nice lady on the phone if she could make a note to the armorer to grab one in original finish if at all possible.

Very happy with what I received and for those of you in the second round my best advice would be to sit tight and be patient, maybe very patient.

Great on you, you got a Colt on a Colt. I got a Remington on a Colt.

Colt! Looking good, OP. I got an RR/RR -- very happy with my service grade.

            Very nice USGI 1911A1.

I don't see any idiot scratch on it either.

Very nice! I think it's great that you got a Colt slide on a Colt frame. Number 2270041 was made early in 1945. I checked the SRS database, but didn't come up with a hit on the serial number.

It has been refinished, but I can tell you it was a long time ago
